Carrington “Rusty” Mead is owner of the firm Carrington Madison Mead, Esquire in Jacksonville, Florida. His areas of practice are family law, estate planning, probate, guardianship, and veteran’s benefits. He is a member of the American Bar Association and the Florida Bar Family Law Section’s Children’s Issues Committee and its Ad hoc Parentage Committee. He is admitted to appear in the United States District Courts for the Middle and Northern Districts of Florida and is an Accredited Veterans Administration Veterans Benefits and Compensation Attorney. He is an active member of the LGBT Family Law Institute, which is a joint venture of the national LGBT Bar Association and the National Center for Lesbian Rights, and is an American Bar Foundation Fellow. He has written several articles and recently wrote a chapter in Brenda Abrams’ Florida Family Law Practice Set on representing LGBT Clients.
